Help New Mexico (HELPNM) was created in 1965 by the interdenominational New Mexico Council of Churches to support education in their community. Today, their legacy and impact carry on through HELPNM’s work as a fully-owned subsidiary of CPLC. The Office of Learning and Academic Opportunity (OLAO) provides services to children and families from birth to eight years of age. Our priority is to provide general services related to families in the areas of education, health and social/behavioral development. OLAO also provides an intentional, coordinated approach to strengthening the family unit and combines programming for children and adults in order to build strong and stable families.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall health, safety, nurturing and quality of care and education for preschool children; 3-5 years of age enrolled in the program. Will plan, prepare, and develop classroom curriculum; and interact with children in activities to promote social, physical, and cognitive growth appropriate to the children’s developmental stages. All activities and interactions will be in conformance with all federal, state, and local regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Driver’s License/Proof of Insurance (Preferred): Maintain a current New Mexico driver’s license, an insurable driving record, and provide proof of current liability insurance meeting or exceeding State-required minimum coverages is preferred for this position.
