Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to patients within a care home setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services, developing personalised care plans, and ensuring the well-being of residents. Duties

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments and examinations of residents to diagnose health conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Provide ongoing medical treatment, including prescribing medication and managing chronic illnesses.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Offer advice and support to residents and their families regarding health management and lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and organisational standards.
  • Assist with home care visits when necessary, ensuring continuity of care outside the care home environment.
  • Utilise IT systems effectively for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified Primary Care Physician with valid registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Proven experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly.
  • Competent IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and using healthcare software.
  • Valid driving licence and ability to travel between different care settings if required.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in elderly or vulnerable patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $215.00 - $216.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
