We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Primary English Teacher to join our dedicated team. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing English language lessons, as well as creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and national/state standards.
- Design a variety of activities, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teaching and Instruction:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons that are interactive, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate.
- Use effective teaching strategies, such as storytelling, role-play, and group work, to promote active learning.
- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through language-based activities.
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess students' progress regularly using a variety of assessment methods, including formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their language skills.
- Maintain accurate records of students' achievements and progress.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and promote discipline.
- Use classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Parent Communication:
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Organize parent-teacher conferences to discuss students' academic and social development.
- Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in English language teaching.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong foundation in English language arts, including phonics, grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons.
- Passion for teaching young learners and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English to young learners.
- Knowledge of various teaching methodologies and strategies.
- Proficiency in using technology in the classroom.
