Role Overview:

The PRT (Primary Teacher) will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching–learning experiences to students of Grades I–V. The role requires a dynamic, child-centric educator who can create an engaging classroom environment, support holistic development, and maintain strong communication with parents. The teacher must foster academic excellence, discipline, creativity, and foundational skills in young learners.

Key Responsibilities:1. Teaching & Learning

  • Plan, design, and deliver interactive, age-appropriate lessons for primary classes (Grades I–V).
  • Ensure strong conceptual clarity through activity-based, experiential, and play-way methods.
  • Teach core subjects (English, EVS, Mathematics, Hindi), integrating storytelling, art, music, and hands-on learning.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, and structured activities as per school curriculum.
  • Conduct regular assessments, notebook checking, class tests, and provide timely feedback.

2. Classroom Management

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and disciplined classroom environment at all times.
  • Ensure correct uniform, grooming, and punctuality of students.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies, class rules, and out-pass systems appropriately.
  • Encourage communication skills, reading habits, and independent learning among children.

3. Child Development & Pastoral Care

  • Support students’ academic, emotional, behavioural, and social development.
  • Identify learning gaps and provide remedial/enrichment support.
  • Conduct daily Circle Time focusing on values, etiquettes, GK, rhymes, interaction, and confidence building.
  • Motivate students through praise, recognition, and appreciation.

4. Parent Coordination

  • Maintain respectful and professional communication with parents.
  • Provide regular updates on homework, behaviour, academic progress, and class activities.
  • Attend PTMs, orientation sessions, and parent interaction programs as required.
  • Address parent concerns politely and ensure timely resolution.

5. School Duties & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in:
  • Morning assemblies
  • School functions & celebrations
  • Annual Day, Sports Day, exhibitions
  • Exam duties & invigilation
  • Arrival & dispersal duties
  • Maintain all academic records, attendance registers, result sheets, and ERP entries.
  • Decorate soft boards and corridors with theme-based, updated content.

6. Professional Conduct

  • Follow school dress code, grooming standards, and disciplinary policies strictly.
  • Use mobile phones only in staff rooms or during non-teaching periods.
  • Collaborate with coordinators, in-charges, and school leadership for academic progress.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, initiative, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with B.Ed./D.El.Ed./JBT (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience at primary level preferred.
  • Proficient in English communication (spoken & written).
  • Strong classroom management and child-handling skills.
  • Ability to create engaging lessons and integrate creative teaching strategies.
  • Passionate about early childhood learning and dedicated to student well-being.
