Private Voice Teacher

Valencia School of Music is looking for an enthusiastic Voice Teacher to join our supportive and friendly team! We love inspiring students and creating a fun, engaging music-learning experience.

We are currently looking for a teacher who is available on Fridays or Saturdays to start. We will only consider candidates who reside in New Jersey. Ability to teach a secondary instrument is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach technique based voice lessons to students of all ages and skill levels (training & curriculum provided)
• Accompany all students with scales and technical development, and assist in learning music
• Prepare students for outside auditions and roles when necessary
• Prepare students for recitals and performances
• Attend monthly paid staff and department meetings
• Keep communication clear and positive with students, parents, and staff
• Foster a motivating and supportive learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years teaching experience (private or music school)
• Proficiency in voice instruction in with contemporary musical theater, legit classical musical theater, belt, and contemporary pop. Classical knowledge is helpful but not necessary
• Strong understanding of technique, theory, and performance skills
• Reliable, positive, and great with kids and adults
• Music degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
