Procurement Buyer – Windsor Mill, MD (On-Site)

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a motivated Procurement Buyer to join our growing team in Windsor Mill, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level professional who’s passionate about purchasing, negotiation, and driving results in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in sourcing and acquiring materials and services essential to both commercial and government projects.

What You’ll Do

• Manage RFQs/RFIs and process purchase requisitions for various materials and services.
• Conduct detailed price and cost analyses to ensure competitive and cost-effective purchasing.
• Negotiate supplier terms, conditions, and pricing to achieve the best overall value.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or pricing issues.
• Accurately create and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Track supplier performance metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and cost savings.
• Ensure quality standards are met and oversee Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) when needed.

What You’ll Bring

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or subcontracts.
• Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and the ability to interpret mechanical drawings and cable/harness documentation.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS (a plus, not required).
• A proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
