Role Summary
As a Procurement Executive, you’ll play an important role in keeping the company’s operations running smoothly by making sure the right products and services are purchased at the right time and price. This role involves working closely with suppliers, comparing options, and making smart purchasing decisions that balance cost, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and shortlist suitable suppliers based on business needs
- Collect quotations and evaluate them to choose the most cost-effective options
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and agreements with vendors
- Prepare and issue purchase orders accurately and on time
- Monitor order progress and ensure deliveries are made as scheduled
- Maintain well-organized records of all procurement transactions
- Coordinate with internal teams to track inventory and avoid shortages
- Check that all goods received meet the required standards and specifications
- Build long-term relationships with trusted suppliers
- Keep an eye on market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
- Review supplier performance and address any concerns promptly
- Follow internal policies and comply with local procurement regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing
- Knowledge of the Qatar/GCC supplier market is an advantage
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and make practical decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
