Establish and lead the procurement function across the group’s theming construction, steel manufacturing, and general construction divisions to ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality sourcing of materials and services. Develop procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize supply chain efficiency and support business growth.
Responsibilities:
Ø Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy to support the group's operational and financial objectives.
Ø Establish procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance, transparency, and efficiency.
Ø Lead supplier identification, evaluation, and negotiation to build strong, reliable partnerships that ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Ø Manage contracts and supplier agreements, ensuring risk mitigation, performance monitoring, and adherence to terms.
Ø Oversee procurement planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align purchasing activities with business needs and project timelines.
Ø Implement technology-driven procurement solutions to enhance efficiency, reporting, and supplier management.
Ø Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, and project teams) to align procurement with project and production demands.
Ø Develop and lead a high-performing procurement team, setting KPIs and performance benchmarks.
Ø Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs to enhance procurement value.
Ø Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and sustainability practices.
Role Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Ø Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is highly desirable.
Essential Experience:
Ø 8+ years of procurement experience in construction, steel manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Ø Proven experience in setting up and leading a procurement department from scratch.
Ø Strong background in supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement strategy development.
Essential Training:
Ø Procurement and contract management training.
Ø ERP or procurement software training.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Ø In-depth understanding of procurement best practices in construction and manufacturing.
Ø Strong negotiation, supplier management, and risk assessment skills.
Ø Familiarity with international sourcing, logistics, and supply chain management.
Ø Knowledge of local and international procurement laws and compliance standards.
Preferable:
Ø Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Ø Experience with digital procurement transformation and automation.
Ø Understanding of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
