Procurement Manager (4 + years of experience required)

All Seasons Feeders is looking to hire a Procurement Manager for our manfuacturing facility that is located on the east side of San Antonio. This position includes Inventory Mangement, Procurement, Forecasting, and Supplier relations. The ideal candidate would have 4+ years of experience with forecasting and planning. Overseas ordering and scheduling is a plus for us when it comes time for the selection process.

Work schedule is five 8hr days Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Job will consist of

Inventory Management

o Oversee and maintain inventory levels and make sure to keep an efficient qty of items on hand during certain times of the year to prevent shortages and/or a surplus of items.

o Forecast future orders according to production schedule and make sure that deliveries are on time.

o Oversee the Inventory Manager and their responsibilities.

o Create new and manage current UPC codes and make sure the product groups as a whole make sense to sales team and for inventory purposes.

Procurement

o Oversee the purchasing of raw materials, components, and finished goods and keep a general stock of highly used items on hand to prevent production delays.

o Forecast and order bulk P.O. items for retail sales and high volume items used in production as well as retail sales.

o Constantly analyze cost with all suppliers and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

o Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact.

o Monitor market trends to make informed buying decisions.

Supplier Relations

o Maintain relationships and manage performance of current suppliers

o Negotiate pricing on large blanket P.O.s and communicate delivery dates to production team.

o Determine company expectations for suppliers and evaluate/hold them accountable when they are not meeting our expectations.

o Constantly look for opportunities for long term relationships with new suppliers that may have better service or price for the goods we purchase regularly.

o Maintain supplier defect tracking sheets and communicate it to suppliers as needed.

Internal Relations

o Assist with communication from accounting to suppliers when needed

o Communicate effectively with production teams on product/supplies delays

o Communicate to management when necessary

Qualifications

o Bachelor’s Degree in related field

o Minimum 4 years experience sourcing and forecasting

o Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred

o Strong supply chain experience necessary with an emphasis on forecasting

o Strong leadership skills with prior supervision experience

o Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
