Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist for fragrance and essential oils is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing fragrance oils, essential oils, aromatic chemicals, and other raw materials used in perfume production. The role includes supplier research, price negotiations, quality assessment, and ensuring timely availability of materials according to the company’s production needs and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify the company’s needs for fragrance oils, essential oils, aromatic chemicals, and related raw materials.

Research and evaluate local and international suppliers specializing in natural, synthetic, and blended fragrance materials.

Request and review samples, coordinating with the laboratory or product development team to assess quality.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with suppliers.

Analyze and compare quotations to ensure optimal cost, quality, and reliability.

Manage procurement contracts and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.

Track shipments, coordinate customs clearance, and oversee import procedures for fragrance materials.

Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and maintain adequate stock.

Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and seasonal availability of essential oils.

Prepare periodic reports on supplier performance, purchasing activities, and cost analysis.
Qualifications & Requirements:

2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in
fragrance, essential oils, or cosmetic raw materials
.

Strong knowledge of essential oils, fragrance oils, and evaluation standards in the perfumery industry.

Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.

Proficiency in procurement systems and ERP software.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
