Product Manager – Accounting Software

Key Responsibilities:

• Define product vision and roadmap for accounting, GST, invoicing, payroll, and compliance modules.
• Conduct customer and market research to understand workflows and identify gaps.
• Translate business needs into PRDs, user stories, and wireframes.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver intuitive accounting workflows (journal entries, GST filing, TDS, AR/AP, reconciliation, reporting).
• Stay updated on GST, Income Tax, TDS/TCS, and e-invoicing regulations; ensure product compliance.
• Manage sprints, backlog, QA coordination, and UAT.
• Support product launches with documentation, training, and customer onboarding.
• Track product performance, identify issues, and drive optimization.
• Communicate roadmap, priorities, and updates with leadership and stakeholders.

Key Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles (AR/AP, Balance Sheet, P&L).
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, e-invoicing, and compliance workflows.
• Familiarity with product tools (Jira, Trello, Aha, Notion) and wireframing tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Miro).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred: Experience with Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.

Experience: 4 - 8 Yrs

Bonus

• Experience with integrations (banking, payroll, ERP).
• Exposure to AI-driven automation or anomaly detection.
• API and marketplace integration knowledge.

Job Types: Contractual / Temporary, Freelance
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
