This position is located on-site in La Conner, Washington.
Mavrik Marine is seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in boat production processes, marine knowledge, and the ability to lead a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Committed to maintaining a culture of quality, and constant support and development of quality standards.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and managing day-to-day production floor operations.
- Determine resource requirements and participate in the recruiting, hiring, training and management of production staff.
- Managing production, plant capacity, and resource flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with engineering design and project management to resolve any design-related issues impacting production and to improve product design for producibility.
- Perform detailed production labor and material cost estimates alongside the Engineering team to ensure production costs are in line with budgetary targets. Develops and utilizes operational metrics to analyze productivity and set performance targets to achieve production goals.
- Develop direct reports through teamwork, coaching and innovation.
- Develop and maintain plant safety procedures.
- Participates in new project bid specifications.
- Gives guidance to the Quality Assurance Inspector inspecting construction and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a reference source for technical or production questions from the crew or customers.
- Keeps abreast of current Mavrik Marine and industry boat building techniques
- Performs other activities required to accomplish the mission, goals and objectives of Mavrik Marine as defined by the President.
Skills
- 10 + years of production experience in commercial shipyards
- Aluminum boat fabrication; Mig and Tig welding; Marine mechanics/outfitting/electrical knowledge
- US Citizenship is required
- Ability to read and comprehend marine construction drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Strong organization, management, and communication skills
- Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and quality orientation
- Experience managing multiple projects within scope, budget, and timeline
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,730.00 per year
