Job Summary:

The Production Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and components required for the manufacturing process. This role ensures that procurement activities align with production schedules, cost objectives, and quality standards. The specialist will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders to optimize procurement strategies and maintain efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement plans to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and supplies for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assess material requirements, and place purchase orders in coordination with production planning.
  • Work closely with the production team to anticipate and address material shortages or supply chain disruptions.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the China team regarding production materials and create purchase orders when needed.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.
  • Perform data entry and maintain procurement information in the company’s NetSuite system, including creating and managing purchase orders (POs).
  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing by analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures.
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to ensure accurate invoicing, cost tracking, and material handling.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Conduct emergency outside sourcing from Home Depot or other local suppliers as needed to address urgent material shortages.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP software for data entry and purchase order management preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, forecast procurement needs, and optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin is a MUST

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
