POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Roaster will be responsible for executing DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF's coffee and roasting programming with the Head Roaster. In addition, Production Roasters will be working with a team of other roasting and production associates and their direct managers in organizing, orchestrating and executing all coffee and roasting operations, including, but not limited to, coffee cupping, roasting coffee, maintenance and quality control, organizing and cleaning the roastery and jumping into fulfillment when necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Executing and contributing to all quality control related to DCDS coffee and weekly production.
- Roasting coffee!
- Inputing orders and organizing weekly roasting schedule.
- Maintaining all equipment, maintenance and parts inventory with Head Roaster.
- Cupping production roasts and evaluating coffee, coffee profiles and coffee application.
- Working with a team of roasting associates to optimize efficiency, output, etc.
- Working with all vendors and product distributors.
- Implementing solution for all non-emergency situations.
- Working with team to keep roastery organized, merchandised and clean.
- Ensure and contributing to ALL food safety regulations and food handlers cards/certificates.
- Attend weekly meetings with production supervisor and as needed with all staff.
- Generate reports and analyze coffee profile analytics and other administrative documents associated with coffee, inventory and roasting logs.
- Organize roastery, green coffee bags, etc.
- Receive and ship green and roasted coffee.
- Help fulfillment and production manager with daily, weekly operations when needed.
- Clean roastery and maintain a clean work station.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1 year roasting preferred, but not required
- Barista experience preferred, but not required
- Highly organized and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to stay cool, calm and collective under stress
- Affinity to problem solve
- CPU and IOS literate
- Live in Reno/Tahoe basin
- Food Handlers license in Nevada and California, can get during onboard training
- Desire for career mobility and full time employment in coffee roastery operations
- Reliable vehicle, ability to drive in all weather conditions
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Love for coffee, community and culture
- Ready to develop career in craft coffee
This is a roastery job and directly reports to the Head Roaster while working alongside the Production Supervisor. It requires showing up regularly and working out of our roastery. This job will start at our roastery in Truckee California but will be quickly moving to our new facility in Reno in February/March.
