Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time delivery of products. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, supply chain, and sales. The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in balancing customer demand with available resources, equipment capacity, and workforce availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer requirements, inventory levels, and internal goals.
- Monitor progress of production activities, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks, and proactively adjusting schedules as needed.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, supply chain, procurement, and sales to align schedules with material availability and customer demand.
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities effectively to all stakeholders.
- Track production performance against schedule and report variances to management.
- Ensure scheduling decisions optimize equipment utilization, labor resources, and minimize downtime.
- Review and analyze data related to lead times, capacity, and material availability to support scheduling accuracy.
- Assist in developing long-term capacity planning and forecasting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or related manufacturing role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain principles, and capacity planning.
- Proficiency in scheduling software, ERP/MRP systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel proficiency required).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Work Conditions
- Exposure to manufacturing floor environment (noise, dust, temperature variations).
- May require wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, or steel-toe shoes.
- Working near moving mechanical parts or equipment.
- Occasional exposure to chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles (with safety precautions in place).
- Variable weather conditions if work requires indoor/outdoor movement.
