Job Summary:

The Planner (Supply Chain/Production) carries out day-to-day purchasing activities and coordinates with all relevant departments to ensure product delivery is met according to customer requirements for all sales orders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review customer order requirements, drawings and specifications.
• Develop production schedule and monitor progress of orders to ensure deadlines are met.
• Work with relevant departments to ensure smooth order flow and resolve issues if any.
• Raise technical clarification or deviation request to customer if required.
• Keep customers up-to-date on the progress of their orders.
• Communicate with customers on queries of orders as and when required.
• Coordinate customer inspection activities.
• Perform day-to-day purchasing activities including sourcing, quotation comparison and Purchase Order creation.
• Raise Vendor Approval Report for evaluation and approval into Approved Vendor List.
• Assess and evaluate vendors quality and delivery performance monthly.
• Communicate and coordinate customer/vendor delivery and collection arrangements.
• Assist in stock-taking activities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Skills:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a manufacturing industry.
• Ability to interpret BOM & technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of process operation sequences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
• Possess positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of using ERP system.
