About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Architect/Specification Writer to join our diverse and creative team. This role combines leadership in the technical components of project delivery with responsibility for preparing, coordinating, and maintaining high-quality specifications and project manuals. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in accuracy, consistency, and enjoy creating high quality technical work.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preparation and editing of architectural specifications and project manuals for complex building types.
- Coordinate all Project Manual components with internal disciplines and external consultants to ensure consistency and technical accuracy.
- Review drawings for quality control and alignment with specifications; provide specification support throughout the design process and construction administration.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to execute project workplans and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with project teams in defining project scope, budget, schedule, performance criteria, and quality standards.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may affect project schedules, budgets, or design quality.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior project architects and emerging professionals.
- Dependable, responsible, and hardworking individual.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Professional degree in Architecture from accredited program.
- Licensed professional in the State of Nevada or carry NCARB certification, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building materials, codes, systems, and construction methods.
- Proficiency with specification formats and demonstrated experience writing architectural specifications. (SpecPoint, SpecLink, etc)
- Strong technical writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
- Familiarity with software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Revit, and Microsoft Office 365, is highly desirable.
