The Project Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to assist the Excavation Project Manager / Estimator and Excavation field staff with the coordination of resources and equipment while maintaining accurate records. The Project Coordinator assists with preparing and submitting bids and upon bid selection, will facilitate the project from start to finish while tracking and analyzing results. Additionally, the position should be comfortable looking at job sites and determining job details to properly estimate the work necessary for a bid.
Coordinate the estimating and proposal process by assisting in reviewing drawings, take offs, specifications and preparing proposals.
Take customer orders and must be able to obtain accurate customer information as well as concise directions for delivery.
Vast experience reading and creating construction plans and specifications and ability to accurately build, visualize and anticipate a project from start to finish, based off information given and site evaluations.
Assist with preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduling work.
Assist with preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
Work with estimating team to help predict the timescales of a project, which has a considerable bearing on costs.
Solid understanding of excavation and installation process including the types of equipment and materials used to complete scope of work.
Must efficiently schedule appointments.
Type and compile proposals and submittals for Estimator.
Assist in financial management of projects including proposal preparation, invoicing and collections.
Obtain bonds, permits and other miscellaneous items as needed.
Enters job information into accounting system.
Completes A/R collection calls for Estimator’s billings.
Attend project-planning meetings as required.
Keep up to date and attend trainings on local, state and federal laws and policies surrounding residential estimation.
Monitor local media for upcoming project opportunities.
Willingness to be available and on call, 24/7 for unforeseen emergency response calls.
