Job Summary:

Project Design Manager is to plan Design project and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost- effective manner. Will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects & supervision team management.

Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and engineering teams.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
  • Lead the design team to create innovative and functional designs.
  • Review and approve design concepts and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering design standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure project alignment.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks.
  • Prepare design reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on engineering design trends and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate with Project Team in regards to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or any relevant Engineering degree.
  • Minimum 15-20 years of experience
  • UPDA Grade A
  • PMP Certification

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages
  • Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
