Job Summary:
Project Design Manager is to plan Design project and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost- effective manner. Will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects & supervision team management.
Duties & Responsibilities, (include but not limited to):
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and engineering teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers.
- Lead the design team to create innovative and functional designs.
- Review and approve design concepts and deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to engineering design standards, codes, and regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure project alignment.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Prepare design reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project satisfaction.
- Stay updated on engineering design trends and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with Project Team in regards to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or any relevant Engineering degree.
- Minimum 15-20 years of experience
- UPDA Grade A
- PMP Certification
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Familiarity with construction management software packages
- Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
