Position: Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination

· Discuss project requirements with end-users, customers, consultants, OEMs, and sales representatives to clarify scope and objectives.

· Understand the requirements of the project and define the scope accurately.

· Prepare activity breakdowns, schedules, and implementation plans to guide project execution.

Execution and Delivery

· Execute projects within the defined limits of quality, schedule, and cost, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

· Develop PLC/SCADA/HMI applications independently, ensuring high-quality and functional system setups.

· Execute panel integration activities to ensure seamless system integration and component compatibility.

Documentation and Testing

· Prepare documentation and templates, including logic flowcharts, control philosophies, and detailed engineering documents.

· Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), and other customer evaluations to ensure system functionality and performance.

Standards, Processes, and Team Collaboration

· Prepare, use, and enhance standards and processes related to engineering and execution to maintain consistency and quality.

· Conduct regular project review meetings (daily, weekly, and monthly) to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment across teams.

Skills & Qualification required

Technical Skills

· Well-versed with control system products from major vendors (B&R, GE, Rockwell, Beckhoff, Honeywell, Siemens).

· Experience working on the entire life cycle of at least three projects, from design through to commissioning.

· Strong understanding of field instruments and their basic principles.

· Proficient in preparing basic engineering documents such as logic flowcharts, control philosophies, and other technical documentation.

· Expertise in PLC application development using various programming languages: Ladder, Structured Text, Instruction List, Function Block, and SFC.

· Experienced in SCADA configuration, including graphics development (static and dynamic), sub-picture development, and scripting.

· Solid understanding of industrial and IT communication protocols (EtherNet, Profinet, Modbus, DeviceNet).

Soft Skills

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during project execution.

· Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

· Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Other Skills

· Ability to understand and apply various engineering standards and documentation practices in control system projects.

· Experience working with and adapting to different automation platforms and technologies.

· Knowledge of industrial automation processes and best practices for system integration and operation.

Qualifications Required

· Education: BE (Instrumentation/ Electrical/ Electronics) OR MSc (Instrumentation).

· Experience: 2 - 4 years
