Role Overview
Hiring an experienced Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health care across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and residential treatment programs. The role requires strong clinical judgment, collaborative care skills, and the ability to manage a diverse psychiatric caseload.
Key Responsibilities Inpatient Psychiatry
- Perform psychiatric evaluations, admissions, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Provide medication management and ongoing clinical oversight.
- Complete discharge planning and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary mental health teams.
Outpatient Psychiatry
- See new and established patients for psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care.
- Manage individuals with severe mental illness.
- Review medical records and complete necessary clinical documentation.
- Provide timely care aligned with clinical access standards.
Clinic and Residential Programs
- Deliver psychiatric services within general mental health and specialty programs, including:
- Psychosocial Rehabilitation
- Intensive Case Management
- PTSD services
- Residential rehabilitation programs
- Maintain approximately 6 to 6.5 hours of daily scheduled patient care.
Additional Duties
- Participate in professional case reviews as needed.
- Attend required clinical meetings and collaborate with staff on patient care.
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical competency in psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday daytime hours.
- Rotating on-call coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to provide phone consultation when on call and report onsite when required.
Pay: $170.00 - $180.00 per hour
