Market Analysis & Strategic Planning
- Monitor global and regional market trends affecting copper and aluminum scrap pricing and availability
- Prepare regular market analysis reports and pricing forecasts for senior management
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate price volatility and supply disruptions
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to stay current with market developments
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align procurement activities with business objectives
Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and industry stakeholders
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews
- Implement supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and service levels
- Negotiate and manage long-term supply agreements and framework contracts
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in supplier interactions
