Purchase Manager ( Cattle feed )

Required Purchase Manager at Cattle feed manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute procurement strategy ensuring cost optimization, quality standards, and vendor reliability.

Identify & evaluate suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, and consumables specific to cattle feed production.

Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve best market advantage.

Monitor and forecast inventory levels based on production planning and sales demands.

Ensure timely supply flows to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.

Conduct regular supplier audits & performance evaluations on quality, reliability, and compliance.

Maintain strong market intelligence on commodity price trends (maize, soya, additives, etc.).

Coordinate with QA, Production, Accounts & Logistics for smooth procurement processes.

Ensure GRN, invoices, and purchase records are accurate and updated in ERP systems.

Implement procurement guidelines, compliance policies, and cost-control initiatives.

Manage risk mitigation strategies when dealing with price volatility and raw material scarcity.

Develop new vendor sources to improve supply chain performance and competitiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Agriculture, Commerce, or related field

Minimum 5–8 years experience in procurement within feed / Rice / agro commodity industry
