Purchaser for Furniture and fitout works

We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our bespoke joinery and fit-out company. The ideal candidate will have previous purchasing experience in a similar industry and be confident in sourcing materials, managing suppliers, and negotiating the best prices without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

Source and purchase materials, fittings, hardware and dealing with any sub-contractors for production and site installations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to ensure best value

- Compare quotes and assess supplier performance

- Track orders to ensure materials arrive on time and meet project requirements

- Work closely with the production and project teams to forecast material needs

- Maintain accurate purchasing records

- Resolve any delivery or quality issues with suppliers

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Purchaser, ideally within joinery/furniture manufacturing, construction, or fit-out industry

- Strong negotiation and communication skills

- Good knowledge of materials commonly used in joinery and fit-out projects

- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
