Position: Purchasing Buyer

R&R Products is a global leader in turf equipment parts and supplies for the golf, landscape and sports turf industries since 1971. R&R is seeking highly skilled, self-motivated people for our Purchasing team.

The ideal candidate will conduct purchasing and price negotiating on equipment parts such as bearings, seals, belts and work with production planners to identify material requirements. Thorough knowledge of a general mechanical background and familiarity with repair parts, issue and track PO's, review supplier invoices for correct quantity, pricing and code for accounting, maintain computer pricing database, schedule deliveries, negotiate price and freight terms, prepare submittals and inventory control This position is full-time.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with ERP database applications used for purchase planning and associated content.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, marketing and customer service in assisting product procurement and changes/improvements to existing product and executing purchase orders.
• Conduct routine purchasing projects, such as the preparation of various buying programs and incentives.
• Responsible for purchasing and negotiating with vendors with regard to freight, terms, maintaining gross margins.
• Inventory management including ordering, forecasting, maintaining inventory levels, returns mis-ships, over ships, short ships, aged inventory and warehouse space planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word.
• Strong computer skills required include spreadsheets, presentations, 3D CAD and ERP.
• Must have good organizational, time-management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• Communicate effectively with engineers, drafters, and others within the company as needed. Work well within a team.
• Communicate effectively with vendors to confirm orders and product planning.
• Must maintain open communications and open door policy between all departments.

Education and Experience

• Experience in Purchasing or in a related area.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in buyer/planner, preferably in like automotive or commercial equipment industries.

This is not a remote position. All duties will be performed in our offices in Tucson, AZ.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
