Company Overview
Nexhaul Trailers is a fast-growing trailer manufacturer serving dealers and customers nationwide. Our production relies on precise part sourcing, accurate inventory flow, and strong vendor partnerships. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Procurement Manager to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining uninterrupted production and driving cost efficiency across our supply chain.

Position Summary

This is not an Entry-Level position. The Procurement Manager is directly responsible for sourcing and purchasing all parts, components, and materials required to build our trailers. This role requires strong purchasing experience—preferably in a manufacturing environment—and the ability to negotiate pricing, shipping terms, order quantities, lead times, and discount opportunities with a variety of vendors.

This position works closely with our Production, Inventory, and Accounting teams, and requires a proactive individual who can operate independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Source, purchase, and maintain adequate inventory of all trailer parts and build components
Work directly with vendors to negotiate pricing, shipping, order quantities, discounts, and delivery schedules
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost control
Review inventory levels daily to anticipate upcoming production needs
Track purchase orders, shipments, and lead times to avoid production delays
Monitor cost trends and identify opportunities to reduce expenses Resolve supplier issues including shortages, delays, and quality concerns
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
Communicate effectively with Production, Yard, Inventory, and Management teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in purchasing or procurement
Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong computer proficiency including spreadsheets, email, and purchasing software
Fast and accurate typing skills
Exceptional organization skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Reliable, punctual, and highly attentive to production timelines
Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor
