Purchasing Support Coordinatior

Daikin Applied is seeking a temporary Purchasing Support Coordinator to assist our Compressor Business Unit. This position is expected to last up to 6 months. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!

Location: In office, Staunton, VA.

What you will do:

• Ensure company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of material and services
• Work with potential suppliers to request and obtain part quotations
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and requisitions, secure price advantages of quantity buying, compose and edit bid quotations, analyze bids received, prepare and monitor contracts, outline performance standards, tolerances, warranties, and maintenance requirements
• Follow up and maintain current and accurate database information, vendor lead times, open purchases, commitments, and shortages
• Update and maintain inventory maintenance within the software system
• Maintain data, prepare reports, and analyze information using available software in decision making
• Maintain and update quotation database with applicable information (price, lead time, part number, material, etc.) for all compressor parts
• Upload the parts information into Oracle
• Work with exceptional communication and attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of education and experience
• 4-6 years’ experience

• The typical salary for this position ranges from $31.73-$50.76 in Virginia. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
