Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Seeking a Level One Software Engineer who will support mission-critical systems for a Federal customer at Fort Meade, Maryland. This entry-level role focuses on developing and maintaining Python-based applications in a secure environment. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior developers and contribute to software solutions that meet government requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications to support mission requirements.

· Assist in debugging, testing, and documenting software components.

· Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to implement software solutions.

· Participate in code reviews and follow secure coding practices.

· Support integration and deployment of software in classified environments.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in software development.

Preferences: Relevant certifications (e.g., Python Institute, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.

Skills:

· Proficiency in Python programming.

· Understanding of software development lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git).

· Basic knowledge of secure coding principles and federal IT standards.

· Ability to work in a team and follow technical guidance.
