QA Analyst, Pune

The QA team is a critical component of NIQ for Digital Commerce software engineering team. When a new piece of software is being developed or a bug being fixed, the QA Engineers are part of the process from start to end. We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the product team and focus on deploying and following engineering best practices. Our distributed team has a broad scope and balanced mix of levels so there’s plenty of room to teach and learn.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing bugs and issues reported by clients and internal teams.
  • Investigate, reproduce, and debug problems to identify their root causes
  • Collaborate with development, product, and support teams to ensure issues are correctly assigned, prioritized, and resolved efficiently.
  • Work directly with data sources (e.g., Parquet files, MongoDB, SQL databases) to validate and cross-check reported issues.
  • Use Postman and other tools to test and analyze APIs when investigating bugs.
  • Follow up on open incidents and ensure clear, structured communication until resolution.
  • Propose solutions or workarounds when possible to minimize client impact.
  • Analyze recurring issues to identify trends and suggest improvements to prevent future problems.
  • Define and maintain KPIs and quality metrics to provide visibility on product stability and bug management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights, proposing process enhancements, and promoting a culture of quality.

Qualifications
  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience as a QA Analyst or in a technical support.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills with the ability to quickly understand complex systems.
  • Good knowledge of databases and data handling (MongoDB, SQL, Parquet files).
  • Good understanding of defect management, and root cause analysis.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience defining and tracking KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams.
  • Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership
