QA Automation Engineer

Purpose of the Position: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in data engineering projects and AI-driven use cases. The role involves designing and executing test strategies for data pipelines, ensuring data quality, validating AI models and automation workflows, and maintaining the integrity of AI technologies in production environments. The candidate must have strong programming and SQL fundamentals. An exposure to handling very large data sets is strongly preferred. A solid critical thinker with strong programming skills and sound grounding in data quality will be successful in this role

Key Result Areas and Activities:

• Data Engineering QA:
  • Validate ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and integrations across platforms (eg. Databricks, Kafka)
  • Implement automated test for data quality and schema validation
  • Ensure compliance with governance and security standards for data flows
• AI Use Case testing:
  • Design test plans for AI/ML Models, including functional, performance and bias testing
  • Validate AI driven automation workflows for accuracy and reliability
• Automation and Maintenance:
  • Develop and maintain QA automation frameworks for data pipelines and AI systems
  • Perform regression testing for AI updates and retraining cycles
• Defect Reporting and Tracking:
  • Accurately report defects and facilitate issue tracking to ensure timely and successful resolution of identified problems
• Quality Metrics and Collaboration:
  • Create quality metrics to evaluate data pipelines, products, and customer deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analyst
