Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software systems. The QA Engineer will design, develop, and execute both automated and manual test cases, ensuring alignment with business requirements and adherence to software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards. The role includes testing web and application systems, performing defect management, preparing UAT test cases, and collaborating with Agile teams to deliver software releases efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-driven, and has experience with modern testing tools, scripting, and reporting.
This position is onsite and open only to local candidates in the Austin, TX area.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and implement automated and manual test cases.
  • Prepare UAT test cases, validate requirements, and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
  • Track test execution and report defects using Jira/Xray; maintain requirements traceability matrices.
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, smoke, system, and performance testing.
  • Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools.
  • Develop automated test scripts to verify authentication processes, roles, and permissions.
  • Support development, test, and UAT environments; troubleshoot and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver software releases on schedule and with high quality.
  • Ensure accessibility compliance using WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Document test plans, results, and provide clear communication to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Hands-on experience in QA automation using UFT.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software usability principles.
  • Experience in SQL for CRUD operations.
  • Strong defect tracking and management using Jira/Xray.
  • API testing experience (Postman or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and with development teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint for documentation and collaboration.

Eligibility:
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
