QA Engineer / Game Tester

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Game QA Engineer to join our growing game development and testing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mobile game testing, gameplay debugging, performance testing, and close collaboration with game developers using Unity and backend systems. This role will be responsible for ensuring high-quality game performance, stability, and user experience across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing for mobile games.
• Identify, document, track, and verify bugs and issues using standard bug-tracking tools.
• Conduct gameplay and system-level debugging to ensure smooth player experience.
• Test game performance, frame rate, memory usage, and device compatibility.
• Work closely with developers, designers, and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Validate game features based on Game Design Documents (GDDs) and technical specs.
• Assist in continuous feature testing and optimization during development cycles.
• Perform backend and API testing related to game logic, multiplayer systems, and live operations.
• Ensure proper implementation of game mechanics, UI/UX elements, and in-game systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Game Testing and QA for mobile games.
• Strong understanding of gameplay mechanics and game testing methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Unity game engine.
• Knowledge of backend systems and game server testing.
• Expertise in performance testing, optimization, and debugging.
• Experience working with GDDs and translating requirements into test scenarios.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Trello, TestRail, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Android and iOS game testing.
• Knowledge of multiplayer testing, load testing, and live game operations.
• Experience in automation testing for games is a plus.
• Prior experience working with international gaming studios or publishers.
