We are seeking a qualified Coating Inspector to support the Master Gas Project. The incumbent will be responsible for executing and overseeing all coating and painting inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and inspection methodologies within oil & gas and pipeline projects.
Experience: 4-8 years
Salary: SAR 7,500 - 7,500/month
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspection of surface preparation and coating/painting application processes in line with project specifications, standards (NACE/SSPC/ISO), and client requirements.
- Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point, etc.) to validate coating suitability prior to application.
- Review and verify coating/painting procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and material certifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality management systems throughout the coating and painting operations.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, daily progress logs, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) where applicable.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve coating-related issues and achieve project quality objectives.
- Perform final inspections and acceptance of completed coating works prior to project handover.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline.
- Certification in NACE Coating Inspector Level II/III (or equivalent such as SSPC/BGAS).
- Minimum 4-8 years of relevant coating inspection experience in oil & gas / pipeline / petrochemical projects.
- Familiarity with Aramco/International standards for coating and painting.
- Strong knowledge of coating materials, specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
- Excellent technical knowledge of protective coatings, paint systems, and application techniques.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills for inspection reporting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and standards.
- Effective communication and coordination skills with stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and non conformance resolution.
