Role Overview:
Orbit ISS is seeking an experienced QC Inspector (Piping) for commissioning activities in Oil & Gas and Energy projects. The role includes reviewing P&IDs and test packages, inspecting pipe installation, supports, valves, welds, and flanges, and performing hydrostatic/pneumatic testing. The candidate will ensure all piping works comply with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify P&IDs, isometrics, and test packages against installed piping.

Check pipe routing, size, material grade, orientation, and correct installation.

Inspect supports, hangers, guides, spring supports, and confirm compliance with drawings.

Verify installation of valves, fittings, gaskets, bolts, reducers, strainers, etc.

Confirm weld quality and ensure weld maps and NDE records are updated.

Ensure lines are mechanically complete and ready for hydrotest or reinstatement.

Inspect flange connections for correct facing, gasket selection, bolt material, and orientation.

Verify flange assembly using correct torque/tension procedures and tightening sequence.

Ensure bolt lubrication, alignment, and gap acceptance meet project tolerances.

Perform hydrostatic/pneumatic testing inspections, including test package review, leak testing, pressure holding, and line walk-downs.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

3–5 years of QC piping experience in Oil & Gas projects.

Strong knowledge of piping materials, isometrics, and welding processes.

Familiarity with ASME, API, and ISO codes.

Certifications such as CSWIP, ASNT, or API are preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, reporting, and documentation skills.
