Quality Analyst

The Quality Analyst – Microbiologist will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing of organic commodities to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of microbiology, testing protocols, documentation, and lab hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform microbiological analysis of organic food and agricultural commodities (e.g., TPC, Yeast & Mold, Coliform, Pathogen testing).

2. Prepare culture media, reagents, and microbial growth plates as per SOPs.

3. Handle sample preparation, dilution, incubation, and result interpretation accurately.

4. Maintain proper aseptic techniques and follow laboratory hygiene and safety guidelines.

5. Record observations, maintain test reports, and update LIMS/software on a timely basis.

6. Ensure calibration, maintenance, and cleanliness of laboratory instruments.

7. Follow FSSAI, APEDA, NPOP, ISO/IEC 17025, and other relevant standards.

8. Assist in internal audits, documentation, and quality control activities.

9. Identify deviations, report non-conformities, and support corrective actions.

10. Maintain stock of consumables and ensure proper storage and labeling.
