Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Title: QA Engineer (2–3 Years’ Experience)

Department: Quality Assurance/Shared Service

Location: Gurgaon

Reports To: QA Lead / QA Manager

Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and stability of our products through manual and/or automated testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Experience on Device testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, AZURE).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback on testability and potential risks.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain and improve testing documentation, processes, and best practices.
• Perform automation testing (if applicable): create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
• Ensure timely completion of testing activities within Agile/Scrum workflows.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in software QA (manual and/or automation).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure).
• Ability to write clear, concise test cases and defect reports.
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger).
• For automation roles: experience with Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium or similar frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter (optional).
• ISTQB certification or similar (plus but not required).

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and MCA.
