About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support testing, validation, and continuous improvement efforts across a full M365 enterprise ecosystem. This role focuses on ensuring quality, reliability, compliance, and performance across cloud and on-prem solutions—spanning Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, SharePoint on-prem, Windows Server, SQL Server, and integrated security tools.

Candidates with direct IRS experience—or experience supporting IRS modernization, ELC, Purview governance, security, or M365 transformation initiatives—will receive strong preference.

You will serve as a subject-matter expert validating system configurations, data governance, integrations, workflows, and enhancements across enterprise platforms that support federal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate and ensure quality across the entire M365 Cloud Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Power Platform, Purview, Defender, and Copilot technologies.
  • Support testing and verification of data readiness plans, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and Microsoft Purview data protection features used to safeguard IRS data.
  • Conduct QA review and validation for SharePoint Online administration, configurations, permissions, and migration or modernization activities.
  • Assist in testing and verifying Windows Server and SQL Server 2019/2022 cluster functionality, performance, and security.
  • Perform QA assessments on Power Platform environments, pipelines, ALM processes, and automated workflows.
  • Verify functionality and compatibility of Microsoft product enhancements including Defender, Copilots, Loop, Graph Connectors, Purview components, and more.
  • Support QA for SharePoint on-premises farm environments, including patching, backups, and architecture changes.
  • Validate integration and security controls related to AvePoint Online Services (AOS), including tenant-to-tenant moves, Splunk Enterprise integration, BYOK encryption, IP restrictions, and SFTP workflows.
  • Test and review data connectors, enterprise policies, and information governance integrations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to test applications built using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Work cross-functionally with staff supporting Azure, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online to ensure seamless end-to-end integrations.
  • Ensure all QA documentation, test scripts, risk logs, processes, and reports are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Deliver bi-weekly QA status reports outlining M365 testing progress, risks, mitigations, and deliverables.
  • Provide consolidated monthly reports representing overall health, readiness, and quality metrics for M365 tools and services.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Systems Testing, M365 validation, or Enterprise IT QA roles.
  • Expertise in the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Purview, and security products.
  • Hands-on experience validating Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and ALM pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-prem administration.
  • Knowledge of AvePoint Online Services (AOS) and enterprise data governance tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and SQL Server environments.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and testing process skills.
  • IRS experience strongly preferred, such as:
  • IRS M365 or Power Platform modernization
  • IRS Purview data governance
  • IRS ELC or cybersecurity processes
  • IRS cloud transformation programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting federal environments with strict security/compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Purview sensitivity labels, retention policies, and compliance center features.
  • Experience with ATO/RMF processes, audit logging, or POA&M tracking.
  • QA certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) or Microsoft certifications (PL-200, SC-400, MS-700).
