Responsible for quality processes to ensure quality goals are met within the tempering, fabrication, and shipping areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors daily production and supports the quality and production teams by relaying information, assessing product quality, and ensuring quality measurement equipment is calibrated and available for use.

Monitors daily production and provides trouble-shooting assistance for process and equipment issues.

Monitors internal and external quality defects and reworks, assists to determine root cause, and provides feedback to the team.

Assists in supplier quality investigations.

Assists in training of line inspectors and production employees.

Participates in continuous improvement activities.

Collaborates with other team members to ensure quality goals are being met and acts as a sounding board for new ideas, process updates and escalation.

Creates and maintains a positive work environment within the quality department and fully supports the production team to meet goals.

All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Understanding of the tempering and fabrication processes, plant procedures and logistics.

Strong team player, group leader, and communicator.

Proficient with measurements, mathematics, fractions and strong mechanical aptitude.

Ability to compare drawing fabrication to final product.
Education and Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
2-5 years’ experience. Warehouse and/or construction experience a plus. Computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift glass panels up to 85lbs. Mostly standing and walking.
