Job Title: Quality Control Engineer

Job requirements:

• A minimum of 7 Years experience is required for the respective position.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 Years experience in the quality control of Truck Bodies, Trailers, Trolleys & other transport equipment is mandatory.
• Ability to understand and interpret detailed drawings to produce Truck bodies, trailers and other structural steel fabrication works.
• Conducting Welder qualification Tests.
• Monitoring welding process for FCAW, SAW, SMAW & GTAW.
• Addressing quality issues and establishing quality procedures for improvement of quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Perform Material Inspection, dimensional check, and documentation in accordance with Project Requirements, Specifications, Codes & Standards.
• Responsible for the inspection of all weld joints (before, during & after weld activity) of Piping, Structural steel & Plate works.
• Interpretation of RT films.
• Checking all the drawings and ensuring all designs were followed and worked according to the latest revision of drawings.
• Preparation & review of NDT procedure, test, & activity.
• Shop and Site field inspection of Pipes, Plates, and Fittings items.
• Preparation of inspection dossier & NDT procedure & other quality records.
• Inspection and review of raw materials, MTCs, and consumable items according to code and standards.
• Preparation of WPS according to various codes such as ASME and AWS.
• Ensures compliance with safety procedures, quality standards like ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001, and welding procedures.
• Train workers and promote a safe working environment
• Ability to understand and interpret G A drawings, Fabrication drawings, P& ID, specification, procedure for further work
• Knowledge of steel grades and weight calculations.
• Knowledge in Volume, Weight, pressure rating, and load calculations for Trailer and Truck bodies.
