POSITION SUMMARY:

The In-Process Quality Control (QC) Inspector is primarily based on the shop floor, responsible for performing detailed inspections of components during the manufacturing process. This role ensures all parts meet strict quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. The inspector must have advanced proficiency in blueprint reading, mechanical inspection techniques, and a deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The ideal candidate collaborates closely with production teams to identify deviations early, provide guidance for corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest level of product integrity.

DESCRIPTION:

Perform on-the-floor inspections of CNC-machined components. Ensure parts meet precise specifications using advanced blueprint reading, mechanical inspection, and GD&T knowledge. Collaborate with production to catch issues early, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement. Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.

***Advanced level of mechanical checks on the rock***

Works closely with shift managers to maximize workflow.

Ensure In-process parts are manufactured to Customer PO and print.

Follows all procedures such as signing off each step on the router.

QUALIFICATIONS:

**High knowledge of Mechanical Inspection and using inspection hand tools**

Must have high knowledge of GD&T

Ability to complete paperwork

Knowledge of Calibration

Knowledge of ERP systems

Knowledge of RMAs, CARs, & NCRs

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work closely with all personnel, and exhibit good time management skills. Possess the ability to be accurate and systematic in approach, in a fast-paced environment.
