Quality Control Specialist - Pharma/Biotech

Role Overview

We are looking for a Quality Control Analyst who can independently run analytical tests, maintain lab instruments, and ensure data integrity across all QC workflows. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, research-oriented environment and wants to grow with a developing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine QC testing for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments including HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, dissolution testers, and other relevant equipment.
• Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods under guidance.
• Prepare, review, and maintain QC documentation (COAs, SOPs, test protocols, logs).
• Conduct stability testing and interpret analytical data with accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with GMP principles, lab safety standards, and internal quality systems.
• Collaborate with R&D for method transfer, troubleshooting, and sample analysis.
• Assist in laboratory equipment calibration and daily instrument checks.

Requirements

• Education: BS / MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
• Experience: 1–3 years of QC experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical labs preferred (fresh graduates with strong skills may be considered).
• Hands-on experience with HPLC is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with UV-Vis, dissolution testing, basic wet chemistry, and sample preparation.
• Strong documentation discipline and understanding of GMP, GLP, and data integrity.
• Ability to work accurately, troubleshoot independently, and adapt to a lean startup environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with method development/validation.
• Knowledge of regulatory testing requirements (USP/EP/JP).
• Exposure to nutraceutical, herbal, or cosmetic product testing.
