Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems to ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, ISO 9001, and other quality standards. The Quality Engineer will lead quality audits, oversee quality control processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to uphold the highest standards of quality assurance and management within our organization.

Duties

  • Reviews shop orders, customer purchase orders, and drawings for specified Quality requirements
  • Reviews technical specifications as specified by customer for Quality requirements and provides for implementation
  • Prepares First Article Inspection Reports (FAIs) per AS9102
  • Reviews outgoing purchase orders for inclusion of Quality requirements
  • Coordinates with Customer / Government Quality representatives for Source Inspection activities internally or with outside suppliers
  • Performs receiving Inspection when required
  • Prepares procedures, forms, inspection instructions and quality plans
  • Performs internal audits as assigned
  • Assists with calibration duties when required
  • Reviews Stadco rejection tags and prepares customer forms as required
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned
  • Surveys Stadco’s approved and proposed suppliers and updates database as required
  • Logs supplier rejection reports and internal / external corrective actions
  • Works with suppliers concerning Quality requirements
  • Interacts and works well with all departments
  • Will be responsible for the more technical and heavily engineered jobs.
  • Provides technical support in dealing with nonconforming material and works within MRB guidelines and procedures
  • Responsible for Purchase order and contract reviews

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related engineering field is a plus.
  • A minimum of five or more years Quality Engineering required
  • Working experience with AS9100/AS9102 required
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications
  • Quality Control techniques, mechanical gaging and measuring equipment use and quality systems
  • Working knowledge of machining, metal forming and welding processes
  • Knowledge of CMM and Laser trackers a plus.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to generate quality plans and procedures
  • 5 Plus years in reviewing industry standard contracts and must be familiar with FAR and ITAR requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Contract Review experience
  • Working knowledge of Net-Inspect a plus
  • Working knowledge of Ideagen Quality Control (InspectionXpert) a plus
  • Nadcap experience a plus

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
