Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on
Quality Engineer
for a 12-month contract position based in
Redmond, WA
. This role is responsible for making real-time quality decisions directly on the manufacturing floor. The Quality Engineer will assess production issues as they arise—determining when to halt production, contain affected products, and evaluate the impact of operator errors. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role requiring strong decision-making and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities:

Make immediate, informed quality decisions during live production events

Manage and resolve
Non-Conformances (NCs)
-
Lead and own
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)

Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to implement sustainable quality improvements
-
Support
PPAP
(Production Part Approval Process) and
SICR
(Systemic Issue Corrective Resolution) activities

Review, update, and maintain internal quality documentation
-
Assist with validation processes, develop control plans, and create process flow diagrams

Ensure compliance with industry regulations—
medical device experience
is a plus
Qualifications:

Minimum
4–5 years
of experience in Quality Engineering in Manufacturing, medical device or regulated industries

Strong experience with
supplier quality
and cross-functional team collaboration

Skilled in quick decision-making, problem-solving, and issue resolution

Proficient with key quality processes (CAPA, NC management, PPAP, validation, etc.)

Must be available to work
