Job Summary
The Quality Engineer inspects manufactured goods at our Chakan factory and ensures timely completion of the products. He also works to ensure maintenance of a high quality of the final product and ensures seamless shipping of the product. The Quality Engineer will also work in targeted quality improvement programs and in developing quality standards of new products. Also supports general company operations.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 45 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.

Location
Chakan, Pune.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ø Project Purchasing/Fabrication: 90% of the time

Ø Conduct a thorough check of all patterns and at least 75 % of all finished pieces ensuring quality with regards to color matching, dimensions, part finish, texturing, packaging and shipping

Ø Ensure schedule compliance of projects with regards to stipulated deadlines

Ø Compile reports in Excel of all parts checked and defects observed on a daily basis

Ø Coordinate with the drawing team as and when required, to ensure up to date drawings for checking

Ø Study and determine areas for improvement of quality

Ø Ensure scanning of all parts while shipping, before loading into the container

Ø Carry out statistical reports on quality per project and per material.

Ø Complete documentation and tracking data entry as required, including photo documentation, raw material batch documentation, production dates and more

Ø Visit our other supplier factories for quality checks occasionally

Ø Support general company operations: 10% of the time

Ø Assist all teams in all miscellaneous operational tasks

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Minimum.

Ø Bachelor's degree in mechanical/ civil engineering / industrial engineering.

Ø 3 - 4 years of experience in quality control. Previous work in a manufacturing or construction environment desired. Previous experience with fiberglass, GRC or carved stone a plus.

Preferred (all of the above, and)

Ø Reasonable math skills and problem solver.

Ø Proficient in latest versions of Microsoft Office. Strong work ethic.

Ø Works well as part of a team.

Ø Proficient at multi-tasking.

Ø Courteous and friendly communicator.

Ø Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred.

Work Experience
3 to 4 years.

Salary

₹ 500,000.00 per year, negotiable based on experience.
