Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret Project Specifications, Drawings, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and applicable standards to ensure full understanding of project requirements.

Conduct material inspections and verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs) of equipment against packing lists and purchase orders.

Review Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports, vendor documents, and equipment preservation records for completeness and compliance.

Perform equipment installation inspections for both static and rotating equipment, including dimensional checks, alignment verification, and compliance with approved drawings.

Inspect and record equipment levelness, parallelism, radial and axial alignments, flange gaps, torque values, and ensure readings are properly documented.

Supervise and verify millwright works including laser alignment, soft foot correction, and baseplate leveling.

Maintain equipment preservation logs and coordinate with equipment vendors for final inspections and pre-commissioning readiness.

Liaise with Client (ADNOC), Contractor, and Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for review, approval, and final acceptance of inspection reports.

Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all inspection tools and instruments.

Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs); ensure closure and implementation of preventive measures.

Participate in walk-down inspections, punch list preparation, and ensure timely clearance and certification of mechanical works.

Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements, maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout project execution.
Technical Competencies:
-
In-depth knowledge of static and rotating equipment installation and alignment procedures.
-
Proficiency in dimensional and alignment inspections using tools such as dial indicators, feeler gauges, taper gauges, laser alignment systems, micrometers, and precision levels.

Experience in foundations, baseplate setting, shimming, coupling alignment, piping interface checks, and torque tightening.

Familiarity with equipment preservation methods, including humidity control, lubrication, sealing, and rotation checks.

Comprehensive understanding of international codes and standards such as API, ASME, ISO, ASTM, and relevant ADNOC standards.

Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, layouts, part lists, and vendor data sheets.

Experience in pre-commissioning and mechanical completion activities.

Knowledge of ADNOC Project Quality Requirements (PQRs) and Technip Energies Quality Management System (T.EN QMS).

Sound understanding of oil & gas construction quality procedures and inspection documentation.

Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, specifically in rotating and static equipment installation and inspection.
-
Prior experience in ADNOC or Technip Energies EPC projects is highly preferred.
-
Certified in API / ASNT Level II (PT, MT, UT, RT) will be an added advantage.

Strong familiarity with ADNOC Codes of Practice, Engineering Standards, and Site HSE practices.

Proficient in English with excellent report writing and communication skills.
