Quality Technician II

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet quality requirements.

Review defective parts, manage scrapped products, and generate reports as needed on defects seen.

Assist with non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative actions.

Review monthly data for quality trends.

Lead root cause analysis of customer complaints, and internal defects.

Assist with PPAP reviews from suppliers and assist with customer PPAP requests.

Audit production lines for compliance of work instructions.

Create/update work instructions as needed.

Engage production employees to train on new work instructions and quality concerns.

Monitor and ensure quality bulletin boards are maintained and up to date.

Support internal and external audits.

Assist quality manager and other quality personnel as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:

Proficient with precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, various gauges, bores and scales).

Ability to read and understand blueprints or engineering drawings.

Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001).

Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI).

Preferred Qualifications:

Auditing within ISO 9001 experience

Familiarity with PPAP preparation or review

Experience with customer quality and supplier quality interactions

Experience with Microsoft products

Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly)

Education/Experience Requirements:

Associate degree or technical diploma (preferred)

2-4 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements:

Able to walk/stand for the majority of an 8 hour shift.

Able to bend and twist as required during inspections.

Able to work 40 hours.

Able to lift 40 lbs. and not lift over 40 lbs. without assistance.
