Position: R&D Chemist - Organic Chemistry


Location: Bengaluru, India (Bommasandra)


Job Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented R&D Associate with a strong foundation in Organic or General Chemistry to join our team. In this role, you’ll work on process development, optimization, and scale-up of organic molecules. You’ll collaborate closely with our R&D and process teams to translate lab-scale reactions into scalable manufacturing processes. This role is ideal for someone passionate about chemistry, problem-solving, and building a strong career in industrial research.


Key Requirements

- B. Sc/ M.Sc in Organic Chemistry

- 2–5 years work experience in R&D or Process Development

- Relevant Industry Background


Skills and Responsibilities

  • Experience in process development, optimization, validation, and scale-up from lab to pilot scale.
  • Hands-on with air and moisture-sensitive reactions and chemicals.
  • Ability to plan and execute multiple reactions in parallel.
  • Skilled in isolation and purification techniques — distillation, crystallization, chromatography, etc.
  • Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and process impurities.
  • Proficient in analytical data interpretation using NMR, Mass, HPLC, GC, etc.
  • Good command of literature search tools such as SciFinder and Reaxys.
  • Ability to document experiments, observations, and results accurately in lab notebooks and technical reports.
  • Strict adherence to IP confidentiality and laboratory safety protocols.
  • Proactive in identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
