ABOUT THIS ROLE

Summit is actively seeking a full-time Real Estate Analyst with Accounting experience to join its team and assist in all aspects of the real estate acquisition process and asset management of existing properties. This job offers a great opportunity to learn about the development business through direct access to the principal and the full development process. Equity participations available, subject to vesting. This job is full-time, in-person located in Southport, CT.

Key responsibilities include:

· Evaluating and underwriting potential acquisitions, redevelopments, and ground-up developments

· Building institutional quality financial models using Excel

· Assisting in the acquisition due diligence and closing process

· Writing detailed Investment Memoranda

· Assisting in the execution of the post-acquisition business plan.

· Assisting in placing debt on individual assets.

· AP/AR responsibilities include maintaining appropriate base rents, CAM, tax, insurance invoicing to tenants.

· Preparing tenant monthly rent statements.

· Recording all invoices and processing of payments to vendors.

· Preparation and maintenance of vendor W9’s and 1099’s including year-end reporting to the IRS.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance. Majors in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting preferred.

· 3 years of experience in a structured analytical work environment. Prior experience at an investment bank, consulting firm, REIT, real estate finance or real estate private equity firm a plus.

· Property Level accounting experience (AP/AR)

· Experience with Quickbooks, Timberline/Sage or Yardi.

· Outstanding financial analysis, underwriting and modeling abilities.

· Demonstrated analytical/quantitative skill set.

· Highly effective organizational, interpersonal and communications skills

· Intimate working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

· Self-motivated, attentive to detail, and capable of handling several tasks independently and simultaneously.

· Self-starter demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.

· Willingness to travel to Florida.
