We are seeking a well-presented and service-oriented Receptionist cum Hostess with a Food & Beverage background and POS system experience to join our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will manage guest arrivals, reservations, and table assignments while supporting the service team with POS-related tasks and ensuring a smooth and professional front-of-house operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
- Maintain and update reservations using reservation platforms or manual logs; manage walk-ins efficiently.
- Assist with guest inquiries regarding the menu, daily specials, and promotions.
- Operate the POS system for billing, splitting checks, printing receipts, and processing payments when required.
- Support the F&B service team during peak hours by coordinating communication between front and back-of-house.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the hostess desk, entrance area, and lobby.
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with a professional and solution-oriented attitude.
- Ensure guest flow is managed smoothly, especially during busy hours or large group arrivals.
- Assist in monitoring dining room activity to ensure guest satisfaction and prompt service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or F&B industry.
- Solid understanding of restaurant service flow and guest engagement.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast, Oracle, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-groomed, presentable, and confident in dealing with international guests.
- Basic knowledge of F&B operations, including menu knowledge, table settings, and service etiquette.
- Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and handle high-volume environments.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
