Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, clinical staff, and study teams in a fast-paced clinical research setting. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in both administrative and patient-facing functions, supporting clinical trial recruitment, patient scheduling, and front desk operations. Your contribution will ensure smooth workflow and a welcoming environment for study participants and visitors.
Essential Responsibilities
- Answer and route clinic calls promptly; monitor call queues and respond professionally
- Provide accurate study information to patients, including compensation details, visit schedules, lab requirements, and medication information
- Schedule and reschedule patient visits per clinical trial protocols and availability, accommodating patient preferences
- Register new patients, verify information, and guide them to the appropriate clinical team members
- Perform data entry related to patient intake, appointment scheduling, and protocol documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Assist with administrative office tasks including mail distribution, fax handling, and supply organization
- Support the Clinic Supervisor and clinical staff with additional administrative duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology and clinical trial operations a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional, friendly, and calm demeanor
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure while remaining flexible and composed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Proficient in using computers for scheduling, data entry, and communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting clinical trials or working in a research environment
- Ability to present study information clearly and professionally to a variety of stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, patient needs, and trial requirements

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
